[10-03-2023] Male Pedestrian Died Following Vehicle Crash in Intestate 805A male pedestrian was killed after being struck by a vehicle in San Diego on Tuesday morning, October 03, 2023.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash happened at 4:38 a.m. in No. 1 Lane of North Interstate 805 in the City Heights Area.

Based on the initial investigation, the victim was reportedly struck on the road by a black Chevrolet pickup truck.

At 4:52 a.m., the San Diego County Medical Examiner’s Office was dispatched to the scene.

Due to the collision, a Sigalert has been issued and will be in effect for two hours. The 15 northbound transition road was closed shortly thereafter.

As the investigation continues, no further information is available at this time.
