[10-04-2023] Fresno County, CA – 32-Year-Old Man Died, Another Injured Following a Two-Vehicle Collision in Clovis

A 32-year-old man was killed, and a 59-year-old man suffered serious injuries after a head-on collision in Clovis on Wednesday evening. October 04, 2023

According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened at 10:10 p.m. on eastbound Highway 168, east of West Shepherd Avenue.

A 32-year-old driver was reportedly heading eastbound in his Tesla Y when he lost control of his vehicle and veered into the westbound lane before colliding head-on with a Chevrolet pick-up truck and being engulfed in flames.

As a result, the driver of the Tesla was pronounced dead at the scene, and the 59-year-old pick-up driver was transported to the hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. His current health status is unknown.

Investigators are awaiting toxicology results to determine whether alcohol or drugs played a role in the collision.
