[10-05-2022] El Dorado County, CA – 58-Year-Old Man Fatally Died After a Motorcycle Crash in Placerville

A 58-year-old, Michael R., from Somerset, died after a motorcycle accident on Cedar Ravine Road in Placerville on Wednesday night, October 5, 2022.

The crash occurred around 8:27 p.m. Rogers was driving south on Cedar Ravine Road, just south of Cedar Ravine Court.

According to local news, Rogers slammed his motorcycle into oncoming traffic. Rogers entered the northbound lane and struck a 2013 Ford Explorer driven by a 63-year-old Placerville resident.

Sadly, emergency personnel declared Rogers had passed away on the scene.

The only occupant of the Explorer, the driver, reported no injuries.

The accident’s cause is still being looked into.
