A motorcyclist died after a reckless multi-vehicle collision in Antioch on Thursday afternoon, October 05, 2023.

According to the Antioch Police Department, the collision occurred at 2:08 p.m. on Deer Valley Road at Prewett Ranch.

The 63-year-old man from Bay Point was thrown from his motorcycle when an unknown vehicle drove through a red signal light and struck him at high speed. The force of the collision caused both vehicles to collide with two other vehicles, including an AMR unit.

The victim was given first aid by AMR paramedics who were initially responding to another matter. He was transported to a local hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries and died.
