[10-07-2023] Santa Clara County, CA – One Person Died After Two-Vehicle Collision in San Jose

A person was killed after a two-vehicle collision in San Jose early Saturday morning, October 07, 2023.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision occurred at 3:15 a.m. in the northbound lanes of U.S. 101 near the Hellyer Avenue offramp.

Two vehicles were found at the scene, including a silver Toyota Sienna and an SUV that went over the guardrail to the highway’s right shoulder.

Officers confirmed an unknown occupant died around 3:50 a.m. The victim’s identity has yet to be disclosed.

The cause of the collision has not yet been determined, as investigations are ongoing.
