Three people suffered injuries after a suspicious DUI accident involving a truck driver who plowed through the front of one restaurant and into the kitchen of another in Costa Mesa on Saturday, October 8, 2022

According to the report, at around 5:15 p.m., a truck probably ran a red light and sideswiped another vehicle in Bristol Street’s 2900 block.

According to local news, the driver, Juan B., 53, of Santa Ana, was detained on the spot. The driver and a pregnant employee set to start maternity leave the following day were among the three people hurt.

The truck then crossed a curb and entered a business lot, according to Costa Mesa police spokeswoman Roxi Fyad.
