A driver whom Hemet police said was intoxicated struck six people, two of whom were pinned beneath a pickup late in Hemet on Saturday, October 8, 2022.
The collision occurred just before midnight at the residential intersection of Girard Street and Menlo Avenue.
Police spokesman Alan Reyes described the injuries as significant to moderate. He stated that all were expected to survive.
Reyes claimed that the victims were about to get into a car after leaving a party when it was struck by another vehicle.
Two women were entrapped under a pickup. According to Reyes, police located a jack and lifted the pickup off the women.
According to Reyes, one of the victims was six years old.
According to Reyes, Kody C. was estimated to be in his late 40s and was detained on suspicion of several crimes, including driving while intoxicated and endangering children.
There was no immediate information on Cihal’s city of residence.
