[10-08-2023] Nevada County, CA – Unidentified 57-Year-Old Bicyclist Injured Following Vehicle Collision Near Grass Valley

An unidentified 57-year-old bicyclist was injured after being struck by a vehicle near Grass Valley on Sunday afternoon, October 8, 2023.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident occurred on Highway 174, near East Empire Street, at an unspecified time.

Authorities said the vehicle’s side mirror hit the 57-year-old because the driver didn’t see the bike as they tried to pass it. The rider was knocked to the ground in the aftermath, resulting in significant injuries.
