A 77-year-old man was killed after being struck by a car in the 600 block of L Street in Chula Vista on Wednesday morning, October 8, 2025.
According to police, the pedestrian was in the roadway when an eastbound 2014 Toyota Corolla hit him around 6:30 a.m. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The pedestrianโs name has been withheld pending family notification.
Officer Carson Tabor reported that it was not immediately clear who was at fault for the collision, but intoxication was not believed to be a factor.
Authorities continue to investigate the incident.
