A motorcyclist was killed in a collision with a maroon Ford Fusion in Rohnert Park on Thursday morning, October 9, 2025.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred just before 10:15 a.m. on southbound Highway 101 near Golf Course Drive.
The Ford was traveling in the left lane when it changed into the middle lane, swerved to avoid a large bag of debris, lost control, and veered toward the center median before sharply turning right.
A 1974 Harley-Davidson motorcycle then struck the right front side of the Ford, ejecting the rider. Emergency crews performed CPR, but the motorcyclist later died at a hospital.
The driver of the Ford was not injured. CHP noted that wet road conditions from light rain may have contributed to the crash. The Sonoma County Sheriffโs Office has not released the motorcyclistโs name.
