According to the Los Angeles Fire Department, a Metrolink train made a fatal strike on a pedestrian, resulting in the pedestrian’s death in Van Nuys Tuesday, October 11, 2022.
According to the Los Angeles Fire Department, the collision transpired just before 3:30 p.m. at 16161 Raymer St., near the San Diego 405 Freeway.
At the scene, the medical examiner pronounced the pedestrian to be deceased.
The victim’s identity is being withheld pending notification of their next of kin.
The investigation into what caused the collision is still ongoing.
