Fatal Single-Vehicle Crash Statistics

Numerous people in California are killed in single-car crashes each year.

National Highway Traffic Safety Administration data shows that approximately 62% of fatal car accidents in California involve only one vehicle. Legal California driving requires constant vigilance against numerous hazards.

Many factors can play a role in single-car collisions. An off-road collision or a runaway car can occur if the driver is reckless on a slippery road and speeds up, takes a sharp turn, or both. The back of the truck may have been emptied, and large objects may now be lying on the roadside. The weather and traffic might get even worse as a result of this.

Your ability to recover damages following a single-vehicle accident may be severely limited by the terms of your insurance policy’s coverage plan, even if another driver’s negligence was the cause of the accident.
