[10-11-2023] Merced County, CA – 44-Year-Old Male Pedestrian Killed Following Car Collision Near Stevinson

A 44-year-old male pedestrian was killed after being struck by a car near Stevinson, Merced County, on Wednesday night, October 11, 2023.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident occurred on Highway 165, north of Highway 140, at around 11:30 p.m.

Authorities said the pedestrian from Stevinson was trying to cross the highway when he was struck by the unspecified car.

The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene, while the driver was uninjured and cooperated with police. The victim’s identity is being withheld until the next of kin is notified.
