An unidentified woman from Norco died, and her passenger was injured after being catapulted from a motorcycle in a collision in Riverside on Saturday, October 15, 2022.
The crash occurred around 3:00 a.m. on Arlington Avenue near Fairhaven Drive.
Numerous callers indicated that the motorcycle’s rider and a passenger had suffered serious injuries.
Authorities discovered that a 2020 Buell motorcycle being operated by a 41-year-old Norco resident and a 37-year-old female passenger was moving eastward at a high speed at Fairhaven Drive when the driver lost control and hit the south curb. The motorcycle riders were both ejected.
The driver was seriously injured in the lower limbs and sent to the hospital right away. The passenger was declared deceased at the scene.
The identity of the woman was not immediately available pending a coroner’s investigation.
The driver’s identity was not immediately disclosed.
It is believed drugs and/or alcohol contributed to the crash, according to the Riverside Police Department.
