[10-15-2023] Motorcyclist Killed After Collision With Semi-Truck on Barbara RoadA motorcyclist was killed after colliding with a semi-truck in Imperial County on Sunday night, October 15, 2023.

The Holtville Fire Department responded to reports of the collision around 7:54 p.m. along McCabe Road and Barbara Worth Road, southwest of Holtville.

Upon the arrival of emergency teams, the victim was found in critical condition, and medical teams immediately administered CPR on site. However, the patient was declared dead on the scene shortly after.

Reports indicate the motorcyclist was riding along the area when the rider collided with the semi-truck after going through a stop sign at the intersection. No visible injuries were reported on the truck driver’s end after the crash.

Authorities have not released the rider’s identity to the public until further notice or prior to the notification of the next of kin. Further investigation into the incident is ongoing.
