Multi-Vehicle Crash Statistics
More accidents may have occurred in the state because of the booming economy. According to data compiled by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, over 3,304 people lost their lives in traffic-related fatalities in 2010.
Unfortunately, California roads are not risk-free for motorists. If the drivers involved had been more careful, these collisions could have been avoided. Human error accounts for more than ninety-four percent (94%) of all accidents.
Injuries sustained in car accidents can range from mild to severe pain. Because of the common occurrence of accidents, motorists may have a lowered perception of the inherent risk they face while driving.
When three or more vehicles are involved in an accident, it is called a multi-vehicle crash. When two cars collide head-on, there’s a chance that up to six others will be involved in the collision.
According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, over 13,000 people were killed in car accidents in 2010.
