[10-18-2023] Butte County, CA – Driver Injured Following Two-Vehicle Collision in Chico

A driver was injured following a two-vehicle crash in Chico on Wednesday morning, October 18, 2023.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision occurred at 8:21 a.m. at the intersection of Highway 99 and Southgate Lane.

The collision was caused by a green Toyota Camry sedan running a red light at the intersection and striking a gray Dodge Ram 2500 pickup truck. The Camry driver sustained minimal injuries, while the Dodge driver suffered no visible injuries.

Southbound traffic at the intersection was blocked until 9:04 a.m., but the highway has since reopened. The identities of those involved in the crash are unknown at this time.
