[10-19-2025] San Diego County, CA โ€“ 76-Year-Old Woman Fatally Struck While Riding Mobility Scooter on State Route 67 in Ramona

A 76-year-old woman was fatally injured when a car struck the three-wheeled mobility scooter she was riding in Ramona, San Diego County, early Sunday morning, October 19, 2025.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred around 4:55 a.m. on northbound State Route 67 near Julian Street.

A 2014 Toyota Camry traveling in the same direction struck the scooter from behind, causing the rider to be thrown onto the roadway.

The woman, whose name has not yet been released pending notification of her family, was pronounced dead at the scene, CHP public-affairs Officer Jasmine Lopez said.

Authorities confirmed that intoxication was not a factor in the collision.

The crash remains under investigation.
