[10-20-2023] San Diego County, CA – Male Pedestrian Killed Following Hit-and-Run Collision on SR-94 in La Mesa

A male pedestrian was killed after a hit-and-run collision in La Mesa early Friday morning, October 20, 2023.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident occurred on State Route 94, east of Spring Street, at around 3:30 a.m.

Authorities arrived at the scene and found the man’s body on the freeway. It was determined that he was the victim of a hit-and-run driver.

The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity is being withheld until the next of kin is notified.
