[10-22-2023] Santa Clara County, CA – Motorcyclist Killed After DUI Collision in East San Jose

A motorcyclist was killed after a DUI collision in East San Jose on Sunday morning, October 22, 2023.

The San Jose Police Department responded to reports of the incident around 1:00 a.m. along the area of Jackson Avenue and Alexian Drive.

Preliminary investigations revealed that a 2003 Dodge pickup truck driver made a left turn into an apartment complex and collided with a 2013 Kawasaki motorcycle heading southbound.

Upon the arrival of emergency teams, the motorcyclist was immediately transported to a nearby hospital with life-threatening injuries, where the victim later died. The rider’s identity remains undisclosed prior to the notification of relatives.

The pickup truck driver stayed at the scene and was later detained and booked into the Santa Clara County Jail for a DUI charge.
