[10-23-2023] Fresno County, CA – Three Injured Following Pedestrian vs. Vehicle Crash on Highway 41

A pedestrian and two vehicle occupants were injured after being struck by another vehicle in Fresno on Monday morning, October 23, 2023.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident occurred around 11:40 a.m. between Herndon Avenue and Blackstone Avenue on Highway 41 offramp.

A panhandling pedestrian and an SUV were struck by a pick-up truck as it crossed the center median all the way to the off-ramp before hitting the fence of a Costco, where the SUV was backing out.

Both the seriously injured pedestrian and two SUV occupants were taken to a local hospital. The truck driver was also transported following a seizure that reportedly occurred before the crash.

The victims’ current conditions were not available. Neither drugs nor alcohol appeared to be involved in this crash.
