[10-28-2023] Napa County, CA – Two Teenagers Injured Following Suspected DUI Collision on Highway 12

Two teenagers were injured following a single-vehicle collision in Napa County early Saturday morning, October 28, 2023.

The California Highway Patrol and Napa County Fire Department responded to the incident around 1:48 a.m. on eastbound Highway 12, east of Kirkland Ranch Road.

Upon the arrival of responders, they found the wreckage of a 2011 Toyota Corolla off the roadway, with a 17-year-old girl pinned to the front passenger seat in an unconscious state.

The driver, identified as 18-year-old Alondra R., was able to exit the vehicle while fire crews safely extricated the 17-year-old, who sustained major injuries. Both were transported to Providence Queen of the Valley Medical Center.

Authorities did not provide details of the crash while further investigation is ongoing. However, officials indicated that alcohol may have been involved in the incident.
