[10-28-2023] Pedestrian Killed Following Vehicle Crash in San JacintoAn unknown pedestrian died after being struck by a vehicle in San Jacinto late Saturday night, October 28, 2023.

According to the San Jacinto Police Department, the incident occurred at 11:39 p.m. on Lake Park Drive, east of Ramona Expressway.

The pedestrian was found severely injured in the eastbound lanes of the drive and was taken to a local hospital. Reports indicate the victim was struck by a white pickup truck after stepping into a traffic lane from the sidewalk.

The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities before being released. Neither alcohol nor drugs seemed to be a factor.

Authorities were informed that as of Tuesday, October 31, 2023, the pedestrian was declared dead at the hospital. Until the next of kin is notified, the victim’s identity will not be released.
