[10-29-2025] Marin County, CA โ€“ Driver Fatally Strikes Pedestrian at A and Second Streets in Downtown San Rafael

A driver fatally struck a pedestrian at the corner of A and Second streets in downtown San Rafael on Wednesday morning, October 29, 2025.

According to San Rafael police Sgt. Justin Graham, the incident occurred around 10:30 a.m. Officers nearby performed lifesaving measures but were unsuccessful.

The driver, operating a Ford transit van, remained at the scene and cooperated with officers. Police restricted traffic in the area during the investigation, which concluded with the reopening of streets by about 1:30 p.m.

Authorities have not yet released the name of the pedestrian. The investigation continues.
