According to local news, a Petaluma man identified as Daniel B., 48, suspected of DUI, was captured following his escape from the scene of a collision close to Casa Grande High School on Sunday, October 30, 2022.
The collision occurred around 5:20 a.m. at Ely Boulevard South and Casa Grande Road Intersection.
Police reported that a gray BMW crashed into a redwood tree at the roundabout intersection, damaging the tree significantly.
A witness reported to the police that the BMW’s female passenger had remained at the scene while the driver fled on foot.
The passenger recognized Bagley before the female passenger was taken to a nearby hospital for a checkup.
When police discovered Bagley at his Petaluma home, they found signs of intoxication and wounds.
On suspicion of DUI and reckless driving, Bagley was arrested. According to police, he was taken to a nearby hospital for a medical checkup before being incarcerated in the Sonoma County jail.
