A 50-year-old woman, identified as Jennifer C., was killed after being struck by a semitruck in Salinas, Monday night, November 3, 2025.
According to Salinas Police, the collision occurred around 7:00 p.m. at the intersection of South Sanborn Road and Work Street.
Authorities said the woman was attempting to cross the street on her bicycle when she was struck by the semitruck’s trailer as the vehicle made a wide right turn. The bicyclist was transported to a hospital with serious injuries, where she later died.
Police stated that the driver of the semitruck remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators. There was no indication that the driver was not under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
The cause of the incident remains under investigation.
