[11-04-2022] Orange County, CA – 76-Year-Old Woman Killed by Truck in Irvine

The Irvine Police Department reported that a 76-year-old woman was killed after getting hit by a truck in Irvine on Friday evening, November 4, 2022.

According to Sgt. Karie Davies of the local police, the fatal collision occurred at 6:15 p.m. on East Yale Loop, right before the Witherspoon intersection.

The woman was crossing over East Yale Loop when she was struck by a white Chevrolet Silverado traveling south on the Loop in the direction of Witherspoon.

The medical responders who were called to the scene declared the elderly woman dead on the spot.

Davies said the truck driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with the authorities. Alcohol and drugs did not appear to be a factor upon investigation.
