[11-06-2022] Kern County, CA - Fatal Motorcycle Crash Leaves One Death in OildaleThe California Highway Patrol reported a fatal crash that killed a motorcyclist in Oildale on Sunday afternoon, November 6, 2022.

According to the CHP, the authorities were called to the collision that occurred at 3:14 p.m. on China Grade Loop close to Tanker Road.

David H., 58, of Bakersfield was traveling west on China Grade Loop in his 2000 Harley Davidson, approaching Junction Road at an unknown speed.

A man was approaching the Harley Davidson in his 2012 Ford F-250 and was getting ready to make a left turn onto Junction Road from China Grade Loop.

The CHP stated that the Harley Davidson crossed over double yellow lines and tried to pass the Ford on the left just as the Ford was starting to turn left. The Harley Davidson then collided with the Ford.

The motorcycle rider’s death was confirmed on the spot. There were no available reports on the condition of the other driver.

Investigations are still ongoing to determine whether alcohol or drugs were used in this collision.
