An unidentified female bicyclist was killed after a deadly traffic crash in southeast Bakersfield on Tuesday evening, November 16, 2021.

The woman was riding her bicycle across the street when a blue Honda Civic suddenly struck her for unclear reasons.

The bicycle rider sustained fatal injuries in the crash. She was unfortunately pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver that struck the woman remained at the scene and was cooperative with authorities. The identities of the involved parties have not been disclosed.

The accident is currently under further investigation.
