[11-20-2025] Los Angeles County, CA – Pedestrian Hit by Uber Driver at Santa Monica Boulevard and Martel

A man was struck by an Uber driver at Santa Monica Boulevard and Martel in Los Angeles County on Thursday night, November 20, 2025.

According to the pedestrian, he had already entered the crosswalk and was walking west when a vehicle turned left onto Martel and hit him. He said it was raining, and the Uber driver appeared to be traveling fast and did not seem to see him.

Emergency crews responded to the scene, and the man said he was unsure of the extent of his injuries but did not believe he needed to go to the hospital. Sheriff’s deputies were waiting to take a report.

The Uber driver, operating a Volvo XC90, remained at the scene but did not provide a comment.
