Authorities said one individual was seriously injured following a two-vehicle collision in Hesperia on Sunday morning, November 27, 2022.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred at 3:51 a.m. on the northbound lanes of 15 freeway beneath the Ranchero Road overpass.
Responders from the San Bernardino County Fire Department found two cars seriously damaged, obstructing the highway’s fast lane.
Medical workers needed to treat the occupants of both cars, so the California Highway Patrol closed all lanes of traffic.
One woman from one vehicle suffered minor wounds, while another woman from the same car was found lying on the motorway shoulder with what seemed to be a fractured foot.
Minor injuries were also sustained by the second car’s driver. A ground ambulance was used to take the seriously injured person to a nearby hospital.
After an hour of closure, the roads were reopened just before five in the morning.
The CHP Victorville Station is looking into the cause of the crash.
