[11-29-2023] Stanislaus County, CA – Pedestrian Killed After Being Struck by Vehicle in Modesto

A pedestrian was killed after being struck by a vehicle in Modesto late Wednesday evening, November 29, 2023.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal collision happened around 10:40 p.m. along Crows Landing Road, south of Blankenburg Avenue.

A male pedestrian from Sacramento was hit by the driver of a 1997 Acura sedan while he was strolling in the northbound lane.

The victim was transported to a nearby hospital, where he was later declared dead. The Acura driver sustained minor injuries and was cleared of DUI suspicion.

The authorities have not released further information about the victim or the cause of the fatal collision.
