A 17-year-old boy was seriously injured in a collision with a car while riding an e-bike in the Bay Park area of San Diego on Saturday evening, November 30, 2024.
The accident occurred around 5:10 p.m. in the 2600 block of Fairfield Street, near the intersection with Huxley Street, just a few blocks from Western Hills Park.
Authorities said a 41-year-old man driving a 2001 Mercedes made a left turn onto Fairfield Street when the two vehicles collided.
The teen, who was not wearing a helmet, was ejected from the e-bike and suffered multiple facial fractures. The teen was transported to the hospital, and his condition remains unclear. The driver of the car was not impaired.
