Authorities said a 67-year-old male pedestrian was killed after being hit by a vehicle in Rosedale, Kern County, on Friday morning, December 02, 2022.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred around 4:10 a.m. on Heath Road, south of Clarisse Street and near Rosedale Highway.
The man was reportedly struck while crossing Heath Road in the northbound lane. He was struck for the second time by a Honda after sitting in the lane.
The man, whose identity was not released by the authorities, was declared dead on the spot.
Everyone involved remained on the scene. One of the drivers reported they were unaware of the man on the road.
No one used drugs or alcohol before the collision, as per the investigation.
