[12-04-2022] One Killed, Another Airlifted in Head-On Collision in Lucerne ValleyOne person was killed and another was hospitalized following a head-on collision in Lucerne Valley, San Bernardino County, on Sunday morning, December 04, 2022.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred at 11:22 a.m. on Highway 247 at Granite Road. The San Bernardino County Fire Department also responded.

A silver car and a red one were reportedly unrecognizable due to the collision, with one ending up across the road’s centerline.

One of the drivers was declared dead at the site while the other was airlifted by Mercy Air #24 to Loma Linda University Medical Center for sustaining life-threatening injuries.

No other details on the crash were released as the investigation handled by the CHP Barstow Office continued.
