Fatal Two-Vehicle Accident Statistics
Every minute in the United States, a person loses their life or suffers catastrophic injuries in an automobile crash. Every year, around 10 million children and young people (aged 2-34) are injured, and around 2 million are killed.
There is a prediction that by 2050, car accidents will be responsible for claiming the lives of at least 10,000 Californians each year.
Between 2014 and 2015, the total number of fatal car accidents in the state increased by 23.5%. Estimates for 2017 indicated that 3,898 people would perish and another 276,823 would be wounded as a result of traffic-related events. Nine persons of every 100,000 who rode public transit died that year.
Inevitably, even the most cautious motorist will be at fault for a car accident. Drive safely, keep your car well-maintained, and keep your senses sharp at all times to avoid it.
