According to authorities, the fatal crash occurred at 3:33 p.m. on Airport Boulevard near Tyler Street.
According to reports, the 27-year-old driver Saul B., who was driving, went off the road and collided with a power post.
The impacts caused the victim to be partially ejected from the car.
Responders immediately rushed to the scene and pronounced the driver dead after succumbing to his injuries.
Meanwhile, a passenger in the car was transported to a nearby hospital after he sustained injuries.
