[12-08-2022] San Diego County, CA – 66-Year-Old Pedestrian Severely Injured After Being Struck in Pacific Beach

A 66-year-old man was injured when a vehicle struck him in San Diego on Thursday night, December 8, 2022.

The crash reportedly transpired around 10:00 p.m. close to Grand Avenue and Kendall Street.

According to authorities, the man attempted to cross Grand Avenue in an unmarked crosswalk when a Toyota Camry was driving eastbound.

The pedestrian walked into the vehicle’s path and collided with it.

Paramedics rushed to the scene and stated that the victim suffered life-threatening injuries, including a refractured nose, shattered pelvis, multiple abrasions, and lacerations to his forehead and brow.

Alcohol and drugs are not believed to be factors in the collision.

Investigations on the crash are ongoing.
