One unidentified person was hurt after a fiery two-vehicle crash in Mission Valley on Monday evening, December 13, 2021.
The accident occurred on the eastbound lanes of Interstate 8, near the transition to Interstate 805 in Mission Valley, at around 10:42 p.m.
Two unspecified vehicles collided on the roadway for unclear reasons. Details of the crash have yet to be established. One of the vehicles went down an embankment and caught fire following the collision.
Luckily, the driver of the burning vehicle managed to escape before his car was fully engulfed in the fire. The driver was taken to an area hospital with minor injuries.
The other driver was uninjured in the crash. The identities of the involved parties have not been disclosed.
Local authorities are currently investigating the case. They will attempt to determine the factors that may have caused the collision.
