[12-24-2022] Riverside County, CA – Two People Injured After Collision in East Hemet

A go-cart rider was hospitalized after being hit by an SUV in east Hemet on Saturday night, December 24, 2022.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred at 5:16 p.m. on Columbia Street and Whittier Avenue.

Witnesses state that a Chevrolet Equinox collided with the go-cart.

Paramedics rushed one person to a hospital in critical condition.

Meanwhile, another victim was brought to a hospital by ground ambulance with minor injuries.

Authorities did not immediately release the identities and descriptions of those involved.
