A male pedestrian died after being struck by a car in Citrus Heights on Saturday night, December 30, 2023.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal collision happened on Dewey Drive, south of Connemara Circle, around 6:00 p.m.
The pedestrian was not using the crosswalk when he was struck by a car. The victim died at the scene.
The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation. DUI and speeding were not factors in the collision, according to authorities.
