The crash occurred at about 9:30 p.m. between Olive Avenue and Abby Street, a few miles east of the Tower District, on Olive Avenue.

There was no immediate information on the identity of the victim.

The unidentified woman sustained injuries to both legs, but the police spokesman reported that she was “awake and conscious.”

According to the police, the driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with the officers.

Investigations into the crash are still ongoing as a result of the collision.
