[11-01-2022] Sacramento County, CA - A 21-Year-Old Died and Another Suffered Severe Injuries After a Two-Vehicle Collision near Elk GroveA 21-year-old driver died after a two-vehicle collision near Elk Grove on Tuesday, November 1, 2022.

The collision transpired around the morning of Tuesday on I-5 northbound just south of Hood Franklin Road.

According to authorities, an individual was driving a 2014 Nissan. The driver crossed the centerline while driving a GMC truck carrying three people southbound on I-5.

The Nissan driver entered the southbound lanes for an unknown reason, and when the truck struck him, he spun out and was ejected through the back window even though he was wearing a seatbelt.

The 38-year-old Lodi resident driving the GMC truck suffered severe injuries, according to police.

There is currently no more information available regarding the condition of the surviving driver.
