Authorities confirmed that the fatal crash transpired around 9:00 p.m. near Orangeburg and Nelson Avenues.
According to reports, a man was struck by a dark-colored SUV or truck traveling westbound.
When responders arrived at the scene, they discovered the victim lying on the ground.
Despite life-saving measures, the victim succumbed to his severe injuries.
No information has been provided regarding his identity.
Meanwhile, the driver has not been arrested yet, despite investigators knowing his identity.
It is being investigated if drugs or alcohol were involved in the collision.
