[01-27-2023] San Bernardino County, CA – Head-On Crash in Yucca Valley Fatally Struck One Driver, Another Injured

A single-vehicle crash claimed one person’s life and injured another in Yucca Valley on Friday night, January 27, 2023.

According to reports, the deadly collision transpired around 6:00 p.m. on Old Woman Springs Road near Terra Vista Road.

Authorities stated that they received calls of a head-on collision between a southbound Chevrolet and a northbound Kia.

The 55-year-old Perris woman driving the Chevrolet was taken to Hi-Desert Medical Center, where she succumbed to her injuries later that day.

Meanwhile, the Kia driver, a 59-year-old man from Yucca Valley, was taken to Desert Regional Medical Center, where he received treatment for significant wounds.

Neither drugs nor alcohol was a factor, but the cause of the collision is still being investigated.

For several hours Friday night, Old Woman Springs Road’s north and south lanes were shut down between Buena Vista Drive and Aberdeen Avenue as sheriff’s deputies investigated the scene of the accident.
