One passenger is critically injured and hurt along with three others after a felony DUI crash in Lakeside on Sunday evening.
The accident happened around 11:25 p.m. on Mapleview Street and State Route 67.
The 23-year-old man, the Toyota Highlander driver, and the 29-year-old passenger from Victorville were both taken to Sharp Memorial Hospital in San Diego with light to moderate wounds.
Major wounds were present when they took the 18-year-old from Ramona to Scripps Mercy Hospital.
According to the officer, Travis G., all occupants of the vehicles were wearing seatbelts, but unfortunately, they still sustained injuries after the collision.
Meanwhile, the 51-year-old man, the Toyota 4-Runner driver involved in the accident, made a U-turn and then drove south in the northbound lanes of SR-67 before colliding with the other vehicle.
The 51-year-old driver, who had sustained minor injuries, was also taken to the hospital. On suspicion of DUI, he will likely put him in the San Diego County jail.
