According to the California Highway Patrol, an 18-year-old teenager was struck and killed by a vehicle on Highway 198 Tuesday morning, August 9, 2022.
The crash transpired at about 4:00 a.m. on Highway 198 at Road 182, just east of Visalia.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a woman from Visalia who was 51 years old was driving on State Route 198 while a man who was 18 was standing in the fast lane.
After being struck, he was pronounced dead at the accident scene. Nobody has been able to identify him.
The collision left the driver with some relatively minor injuries.
The investigators are still trying to determine what caused the crash.
