[08-10-2022] San Diego County, CA - Unidentified Pedestrian Woman Struck and Killed by Vehicle in National CityAccording to the National City Police, a pedestrian woman walking her bicycle was struck by a car and killed near 18th Street Wednesday morning, August 10, 2022.

According to National City Police, the fatal collision occurred around 6:15 a.m. in the 1700 block of Highland Avenue, near 18th Street.

Despite their best efforts, paramedics could not save the unnamed woman’s life; she was declared dead at the scene.

The cause of the collision was not immediately known, but according to the police, the driver of the red Honda Accord that was involved pulled over and stayed at the scene.

An investigation into the collision is still ongoing.
