A woman was airlifted with severe injuries to a trauma center after a two-vehicle accident in Hesperia on Wednesday, August 10, 2022.
The crash occurred around 2:49 p.m. at the intersection of Main Street and Timberlane Avenue.
A gray Chevy Suburban and a white Honda Civic were involved in the collision.
When San Bernardino County Fire arrived on the scene, they asked for a helicopter to fly the vehicle’s female driver to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center.
A family member reported that the woman experienced internal bleeding, and doctors were attempting to stop it.
Sheriff’s spokeswoman Mara Rodriguez reported that the driver of a Chevy Suburban struck the Honda by failing to stop at the indicated stop sign.
The SUV’s driver was also taken by ground ambulance to a nearby hospital with unspecified injuries.
