The 30-year-old man was struck and died after a hit-and-run accident involving one or more vehicles in Mid-City on Tuesday evening.
The accident occurred at around 10:10 p.m. in the 5000 block of Venice Boulevard.
His name was omitted to avoid disturbing his family.
According to LAPD, the pedestrian was not in the crosswalk. He was hit by an SUV of a dark color traveling east on Venice Boulevard.
There was no information about either driver. The city of Los Angeles has set up a standing reward of up to $50,000 for assistance in solving fatal hit-and-run crimes.
